The fashion industry is responsible for nearly 10% of global carbon emissions—more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined—and produces 20% of global wastewater, largely from dyeing and textile treatment. This work was custom-made and handcrafted in Southern California with quality textiles. Original garment designs and artwork are the intellectual property of Shahla Dorriz and are protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and design rights law.

Since the 1990s, Shahla Dorriz has worked exclusively in a bespoke model: one-of-one couture, with no garment ever reproduced. Shahla Dorriz preserves a 150-year-old family textile archive from the provinces of Yazd and Esfahan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Bukhara, and Baluchistan, including Iranian Qalamkar (blockprinting), soozan-doozi, and gol-dozi works.

This work by Shahla Dorriz is made-to-order. Only one single iteration and edition of this work will exist with the variations of textile use between each order. For this reason, this work is non-refundable and is final sale. As part of the collection and acquisition of this work, Shahla Dorriz is proud to present complementary shipping.
