CHELTIKE 004
CHELTIKE 004
The new series of works from Shahla Dorriz, entitled Cheltike, translates from Persian to “40 pieces”. The informally-used method in Iranian villages was used to quilt and conjoin several disparate pieces of frayed and superfluous textiles together. Utilizing a garment pattern from Dorriz’s works from the 1990s, the new body of work features editions of one of Cheltike works.
One-of-one works handmade upholding the Iranian tradition of Cheltike.
